The postage stamp is truly wonderful. It can travel the world, experience the lives of a million different people, go through the doors of strangers; and never once lose sight of where it's headed.

Giving Gifts

Giving gifts to people that are not expecting it is one of my absolute favourite things! I love to give people little (or big) somethings-and-anythings on completely uncelebrated days, just to show that life is tremendous. This week, I found two little gems which became perfect gifts for two people who remain rather gem-like to me!

Gift The First

In September of last year, I was educated in an English Literature class by a woman who truly knew her stuff. One of the first things we studied and analysed was Walt Whitman's poem, I Hear America Singing. As my education from her ends this week, I thought it was only fitting to give her a little piece of what she gave me, through inspiration and an outstanding education.

Gift The Second

The second is a gift that I am giving to a friend for his birthday this summer. He doesn't know about it yet, so keep it on the down-low (haha)! He studies the German language, and so I thought that a little book such as this--

--would be perfectly fitting! I love the fact that it says "Vest Pocket Dictionary". Hopefully he will like it as much as I like the thought of giving it to him!

Be spontaneous, and show people that you care!
